Constipation is a worldwide health problem. The prevalence of functional constipation varies from 0.7% to 29.6% in children and from 2% to 35% in adults depending on the geographical region. Much of this problem is attributed to food habits and intake of intake of junk, spicy and unwashed contaminated food.
