Finnopool Inc. was initially founded in 2010 to act as a representative organization for the Government of Finland and their export development agency. During that tenure, it became clear, that there are great opportunities in assisting, supporting and working with Canada’s northern and remote communities including First Nations and municipalities to assess and develop initiatives that will meet the challenges faced in the north. These challenges include, but are not limited to lack of viable employment, poor housing conditions, high energy costs, high food costs and a lack of basic infrastructure that most of us in Canada take for granted. Finnopool provides effective solutions to these challenges faced by Northern Communities at the lowest possible cost.
In light of the aforementioned, Finnopool’s focus is in providing expert services and support to northern First Nations and municipalities in Bio-Economy and its sub-sectors including Bioenergy, Renewable Fuels and Gases, Local Food Production and Bio-Health in developing, implementing, and operating sustainable initiatives that improve peoples’ health and lives, create jobs, and delivers results for our clients.
