Bajaj Finserv BEYOND

BEYOND is an employability initiative aimed at making graduates, especially from smaller towns of India, ready for the BFSI Industry. The Certificate Programme in Banking, Finance and Insurance (CPBFI) is the flagship training programme under this initiative. Designed in collaboration with a management school and a mental health institute, CPBFI focusses on balanced development of Attitude, Skills and Knowledge, the three main components of employability. CPBFI is conducted in various degree colleges, for the final year under-graduate students. With half the population under 25 years of age, India has a unique demographic advantage. It is essential to ensure that the energy of this youth is channelized for productive purposes. As employers of more than 25,000 employees, Bajaj Finserv companies, are aware of the challenges faced by graduates on one side and acute talent shortage faced by the industry on the other side. BEYOND is a CSR initiative of Bajaj Finserv, to address this significant social challenge, using corporate methods, in the true spirit of CSR. CPBFI is an instructor-led training programme conducted in both classroom and online formats. Students develop communication skills and gain practical knowledge about products and processes in retail banking, NBFC, life insurance and general insurance. Participative experiential learning methods are used to make the learning effective and build confidence among participants. Since inception in 2015, more than 20,000 students have enrolled for CPBFI. CPBFI is offered in more than 200 colleges, across more than 100 cities in 18 states. CPBFI is creating a local talent pool for the BFSI companies in the smaller towns of India. CPBFI participants are found to be ambitious, hard-working and versatile. They offer a right combination of skills and aspiration making them distinct from other graduates and management students.
