Founded by Tsinghua University's PBC School of Finance in 2012, the Fintech Lab is the first research entity dedicated to leading best practices, promoting interdisciplinary innovation, and encouraging entrepreneurship in the field of fintech through scientific research and innovative project incubation.
The lab currently has 40 full-time researchers and 20 part-time staff. Around 200 Tsinghua University students, coming from the School of Finance, the School of Information Science and Technology, the School of Journalism and Communication and others, have participated in the research work.
Since its establishment, the Fintech Lab has focused on fintech researches and project incubations.
