The support initiative for practice-based tax and auditing is a non-profit organisation in Mannheim. It supports DHBW Mannheim students on the Taxation and Auditing and Accounting & Controlling degree programmes. The association was founded in 1999. FIPS e.V. is an exclusively non-profit organisation and does not pursue any commercial purposes. None of the members benefit from the association in a remunerated form. The association has set itself the task of promoting initiatives and fostering practice-based business, research, education and training in the field of taxation, accounting and auditing. The association is primarily active in the areas of taxation, auditing and accounting & controlling on a non-profit basis. The aim of the association is also to support students in the above-mentioned study programmes in order to promote their success. It aims to achieve this in particular by the following means: Organising further education events such as symposia and/or congresses Providing relevant literature in the subject areas Acquisition of relevant and helpful software for the department Publishing and distributing information leaflets Publication of research results and/or project or Bachelor's theses from the degree programmes Promoting relationships with foreign universities and chairs In this context, also invite foreign academics to give lectures Or send members of the association to hold these To honour outstanding academic work by graduates in the form of cash and non-cash prizes The association has over 50 members, including lecturers from the degree programmes, (partner) companies and students. This also determines the target group of the association.
