The First Responder Project, Inc., (FRP) was established in January 2020 as a 501(c)(3) to support the psychological and emotional needs of first responders. The founding members, all of whom either served with or worked with conventional and special forces, have sought to share the experiences and expertise of those on the front lines, in order to build a broader community of support. The kind of support that is meaningful and impactful.
Both providers and operators across various fields of duty have come together to create an organization that covers a gap in services and resources that is essential for protecting the protectors of society.
We offer education and training, therapeutic retreats, and opportunities for peer connection.
We seek to be there when first responders might need a place to turn– to shift perspective, restore faith, and regain momentum – to remain operationally ready and be emotionally available to their families.
We understand that responders don’t want to be on the receiving end of response. But in the end, our humanness needs a break from humanity every once in a while and that’s why we exist.
