FIRST@Smeal

FIRST@Smeal is an academic program within the Smeal College of Business at Penn State, designed to support first-generation college students as they navigate higher education and pursue their academic and professional goals. The program provides students with dedicated advising, leadership opportunities, and a strong community to enhance their experience at Smeal. FIRST@Smeal is committed to increasing the number of first-generation students who successfully enter a Smeal major, fostering a sense of belonging, and providing access to professional development and networking opportunities with Smeal alumni. Through mentorship, skill-building events, and leadership roles within the FIRST@Smeal Leadership Team, the program empowers students to thrive academically and professionally. By fostering an environment of support and opportunity, FIRST@Smeal ensures that first-generation students are equipped with the resources and connections needed to succeed in business and beyond.
