First Step Therapy

First Step Therapy is a multidisciplinary and multilingual rehabilitation and education center. We are a center based facility capable of addressing the developmental and rehabilitative needs of children and adults of ALL ages. Patients benefit from our multidisciplinary approach all under one roof. Our goal is to provide quality Speech-Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and rehabilitation services to our community through best practices and individualized client-centered treatment plans. Our facility includes a state of the art sensory gym and private occupational, physical and speech therapy suites that are conducive to the most optimal therapy sessions. Our therapists are experienced, dedicated, multilingual, and caring professionals. All our therapists are graduates of accredited programs in their respective disciplines and hold current New York State licensure as well as all necessary certifications. We are an approved provider for the New York City Department of Education for CPSE and CSE services for Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy. We accept most insurances including Medicaid, Medicare, and Department of Education RSAs. We offer therapy services for a wide range of disorder areas, including: Articulation, Language, Oral-Motor Functioning and Feeding, Stuttering, Autism, Reading Remediation, Voice, Neurological Disorders, Apraxia, Delayed Development, Tongue Thrust, Traumatic Brain Injuries, and Learning Disabilities. We have a complete SENSORY GYM on site.
