Alpine Robotics is a 501(c)(3) student-run nonprofit organization, founded in 1998 by Steve Sayers, a teacher from Poudre High School. Operating within FIRST, Alpine Robotics provides students from Poudre High School and the Fort Collins area with the opportunity to participate in and learn about engineering from community professionals. Mentors guide students in the designing, building, and programming of robots. In January FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition) reveals the game, made up of multiple tasks that teams must complete with their robot.
