First Texas Title Company, LLC is the leading provider of real estate closings and title insurance in the Abilene area. First Texas Title is licensed to issue title insurance in Taylor, Callahan and Shackelford counties, but handles closings in all counties in Texas through cooperating agreements with other title companies.
In 1977, Bill Bradshaw and Bill Perry formed the predecessor to First Texas Title Company as an aid to their general civil law practice. That same year, the new title company became an exclusive title agent for First American Title Company, a relationship that continues to this day.
In the early 1990’s, Mark Bradshaw joined his father Bill and the company cemented its status as Taylor County’s leading title company. Andrew McCall came to work for the company in 2006 and purchased the company from Bill and Mark, and Chris Westbrook joined the Company and became a partner in 2009. In 2010, First Texas Title Company became licensed in Callahan and Shackelford Counties and began extending the same level of service to those areas that our customers have experienced in Taylor County.
