First Trust SA (Pty) Ltd is an accounting firm based in Sandton. We are a 100% black owned company which employs approximately 30 staff members. We have a large client base within many industries, from multinational manufacturing and wholesale corporates to your local family-owned corner store.
Our services range from Independent Reviews, Accounting, Taxation, Payroll, VAT, Workmen’s Compensation, Company Registrations and Amendments, General Business & Labour Consulting, and the like. We ensure clients remain compliant with all their statutory obligations. For larger clients we also provide annual audit co-ordination in that we deal directly with the auditors to streamline and speed up the process.

First Trust SA (Pty) Ltd is led by Mr Charles A Seethal, a Chartered Secretary and Administrator specialising in Tax, Accounting and General Business Consulting.
First Trust was initially established in 1963 by Mr. O.H. Fenn, a chartered accountant who later became Mayor of Johannesburg. First Trust has grown from strength to strength and is currently in its third generation of owners and directorship. With the change of directors came restructuring and today there are multiple entities. First Trust SA (Pty) Ltd being one of them, Mr. Seethal has been a Director of First Trust since 2003.
We are an approved training centre with the South African Institute of Professional Accountants where numerous employees have completed their three-year learnership and went on to write their board exams to become fully fledged professional accountants.
Being established for over 60 years says a lot, we believe that traditional values, a high level of Trust, mutual respect, the reliability and dependability of our great team, the integrity of our seniors and leaders and the fact that we always go out of our way to ensure client satisfaction.
