Because the right local manager understands what excellence looks like in their own context far better than we ever could. Hyper-sectoral funds Those with deep, narrow expertise in a particular industry. For instance, a fund focused solely on life sciences or defence tech. Why? Because true specialists know when they’ve come across something rare, credible, and scalable within their domain. While we’ve historically made direct investments, we now do so only in exceptional cases.
