The future consequences of climate change, such as hot days, drought or heavy precipitation, call for a resilient and integrative system for natural food production. For this purpose, natural cycles are adapted by using fish and plants in equal measure. This interaction creates an ideal environment for healthy and nutrient-rich growth, completely without pesticides and artificial fertilisers.
This project aims to reactivate damaged greenhouses in Meggen and to build an aquaponics pilot plant for the production of fresh herbs for delicatessen restaurants in Switzerland.
