FITT-NESS: Strengthening Innovation in the Furniture Sector
FITT-NESS is a European project connecting four key regional innovation ecosystems—Lombardy (Italy), Murcia (Spain), Northern Portugal, and Sicily (Italy)—to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and technological advancements in the furniture sector.
The project focuses on promoting smart homes, inclusive environments, and sustainable practices, addressing the evolving needs of the habitat industry. Through inter-regional cooperation, FITT-NESS supports SMEs in adopting digital and green solutions, enhancing their competitiveness in a rapidly changing market.
A key component of the project is industry mapping and needs assessment, which allows for a comprehensive understanding of challenges, trends, and opportunities within the four regions.
