FIU Honors College EdgeLab

We are a makerspace lab available to all FIU students located in OE 165. We have multiple machines that students can use, or learn to use. We offer hardware in “tiers” based on user expertise to keep safety. Our hardware include 3D printers, a 3D scanner, a CNC routing table, and numerous other machines and power tools. Students who have demonstrated expertise in the machines can reserve time to use them. Students can also give designs to the staff who can complete them for a fee or instruct in machine operation. Students of any major and status may come in with projects, ideas, or inquiries to learn, create and enjoy the innovation process.
