At the Five Percent Foundation, we use a new model of philanthropy to support global humanitarian causes striving to make the world a better place for all.
How it works
Members pledge to donate 5% of their income or wages to our charitable investment fund. Rather than immediately providing the donations to charities, all donations are invested in line with our ethical investment policy with Australian Ethical. Every 6 months, we donate the profit from those investments to charities addressing global causes, chosen by members. Over the long term, this greatly increases the amount that goes to charity. This also ensures that once you stop donating, your donations continue to provide an impact forever. Our goal is to create a lasting impact that continues to grow.
What we have in common is a drive to give back and create meaningful, positive change where it matters.
We take an intersectional approach to philanthropy and the issues we face in the 21st century, and support diverse causes ranging from climate change, food security and human rights.
