Flaunt It Movement

"Flaunt It Movement" is a youth-led arts organization and social enterprise that fosters self-love and highly-esteemed representation for women through creative, community projects. They use the arts to create a platform of collaborative campaigns and inclusive, safe spaces that celebrate the intersectional layers of beauty in all women. They are operating under a trustee partnership with the charity organization, Success Beyond Limits. Since December 2016, a team of passionate artists, activists, community advocates, entrepreneurs and students came together to create opportunities and platforms where they can bring their vision to fruition. "To inspire all women to love themselves unconditionally and with the capacity to hold space + show up for other women." What started as a photography campaign grew into an events-based organization known for hosting open photoshoots that invite all womxn to be a part of our projects. Through photojournalism, the Flaunt It Team has captured over 200 portraits and womxn stories sharing their self-love reflections/journeys. In September 2020, Flaunt It launched the "Flaunt It Collection," their social enterprise project, to fund arts-based opportunities and resources for young artists in the Jane-Finch community.
