Flickerwell is an independent publisher, founded to produce the world’s finest ebooks. Initially, we offered new editions of old classics — hand-crafted for digital devices. Within a year of launch, we expanded to offer select ebooks from contemporary international authors. We also publish Dead Poets Daily — a free poem-a-day email service with tens of thousands of subscribers. Featuring no commentary and no ads, just poetry from the greats. In 2024, we launched the New Zealand Style Guide — a professional resource that suggests standards for the design, formatting, and writing of documents in New Zealand English. Now, we’re proud to introduce Flickerwell Academy — online writing courses for New Zealand web writers. Leveraging our expertise in digital publishing, Flickerwell Academy teaches you how to write accessible and engaging content. We also show you how to use style guides, AI, and other tools to professionalise your writing and expand your reach.
