As an independent advisor, I specialize in guiding financial institutions and institutional investors through the complexities of EU sustainable finance legislation, including SFDR, Taxonomy, and CSRD. My expertise extends beyond the financial sector, offering support to companies embarking on their sustainability journey. I assist with materiality analysis, target-setting, and educating employees and boards on the latest sustainable finance developments. I have closely followed the evolution of sustainable finance in the EU, particularly since the inception of SFDR. My experience includes early involvement in SFDR implementation from a fund management company perspective. Later from a pension fund perspective on ongoing monitoring of legislative developments. In Sweden, between 2016 and 2020, I actively participated in Fondbolagens Förening and Swesif, observing the transition from self-regulation to EU legislative frameworks. From 2020 to 2023, I served on the board of Finsif and contributed to Eurosif's Public Policy group, providing feedback on emerging EU legislation. I also played a key role in the development of CSRD within the pension fund sector, initiating stakeholder consultations and double materiality efforts in 2024. Additionally, at the Bank of Åland, I contributed to the implementation of the Taxonomy within a group-wide sustainable finance working group. Leveraging my extensive experience and networks across Finland, Sweden, and Brussels/EU, I bring a comprehensive understanding of EU sustainable finance-framework.
