Flow Consulting Engineers (FCE) is proudly based in Geraldton, WA, delivering high-quality geotechnical, structural, and civil engineering solutions across the Midwest and surrounding regions. We’re a collaborative team focused on smart design, regional resilience, and long-term client partnerships. FCE is led by Lester Smith, a senior consulting engineer working in the Midwest since 1997. Lester holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Management) from UWA. He’s registered on Engineers Australia’s National Engineering Register in civil, structural, and geotechnical practice. Lester’s interests include staff wellbeing, structural defect resolution, coastal and geotechnical design, and engineering for extreme climates. Our Structural Division is headed by Sam Omelaniuk, who holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from QUT with a major in structural engineering. Sam specialises in advanced steel modelling, analysis, and design. Supporting Sam is Tim Nettelbeck, a well-regarded draftsman in the industry since 2009. Tim brings a strong skillset in drafting and project-focused design support, helping deliver practical, buildable solutions. Also in the structural team is Sami Gul, a structural engineer providing modelling, reporting, site support, and design services. The Geotechnical Division is managed by Trinity Muller, who focuses on the behaviour of construction materials and optimising their use in geotechnical design. Our Civil Division is led by Brett Nairn, a design draftsman working in Geraldton since 1997. Brett brings deep experience in civil earthworks modelling using CAD and 12D, along with producing accurate, clear design documentation. At FCE, we’re committed to building solid foundations—both in engineering and in relationships.
