Fly-Box aims to create sustainable and efficient freight solutions. Our focus is on improving the last mile of transportation, which is currently dominated by polluting diesel trucks. We do not intend to replace the colossal cargo ships that cross the oceans. Our solutions meet the diverse needs of water transportation, from ocean coastlines to river routes to tranquil lakeside towns.
Fly-Box Compact, our 8-meter platform with a 700-kilogram payload capacity, is designed to transport goods between lakeside cities or within urban areas, navigating rivers, streams and coastal waters with ease. We're also developing a green hydrogen-powered solution capable of transporting cargo containers weighing tens of tons each at speeds up to 20 knots to connect primary port hubs, such as San Francisco and Rotterdam, with smaller secondary ports along coastal regions or rivers.
Our platforms use hydrofoils, a proven technology known for its use in America's Cup competitions and major ocean crossings, to glide smoothly over the water, reducing drag and preserving marine ecosystems. In addition, by using battery-powered electric motors or hydrogen fuel cells, our solutions significantly reduce the carbon footprint of cargo transportation.
