Flylanders™ (NJIT SAE Aero Design Team)

The NJIT Flylanders are an SAE Aero Design Team composed of aspiring students from all backgrounds and disciplines who are interested in design and manufacturing within the aerospace field. The team competes annually in the SAE Aero Design Competition where teams from all around the world are provided with constraints on how to design, manufacture, and compete with a remote controlled aircraft. Based on these constraints, the teams must create a unique design each year that is to standard and capable of flying safely and effectively. The team strives to cultivate a holistic understanding of aerospace engineering, emphasizing hands-on experience, teamwork, and practical problem-solving. We are dedicated to fostering an environment where students can apply their classroom knowledge to real-world challenges, refining their skills and preparing for careers in the aerospace industry.
