Measuring Transformers Factory (FMT) was founded in 1969, since when it has been supplying electrical equipment for current measurement and power distribution.
FMT supplies almost all power supply companies in Serbia. Geographic markets covered are mostly from former Yugoslavia (Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, FYR Macedonia, Montenegro). There are also regular exports to Greece, Czech Republic, Estonia, Bulgaria and Romania.
Our main products are voltage and current measuring transformers and insulators for voltages up to 35kV. All our products are casted in epoxy resin.
Other products include:
* Isolating transformers up to 250kVA impregnated with epoxy resin;
* Toroidal transformers;
* System grounding metal resistors for medium voltage networks.
In 1972 we obtained a licence from Siemens AG to manufacture particular models of transformers. Since then we have been making these models as well as transformers of our own design. By 1978 we had developed a range of dry power transformers cast in epoxy resin, with power up to 2000kVA and voltage up to 20kV.
FMT was privatised at the end of 2005. Since then we have made substantial investments to modernise production by acquiring new machines and equipment. We have continued to expand the variety of products with the development of a new range of voltage transformers (VTOP) for power supply of reclosers; and a new range of low voltage current transformers (STN). Other types of new products are in development.
All products have been type tested and the company has a 100% testing regime. FMT is also certified to ISO-9001 for quality management.
FMT currently has an established staff of around 160. The management team consists predominantly of staff of long service with a high degree of technical competence. There are 20 individuals qualified to VSS (MSc equivalent) and 8 to CSS (BSc equivalent).
