Focal Plastics Ltd specialises in the design and manufacture of bespoke vacuum formings (thermoformings) in thick and thin gauge materials such as clam-packs, blisters, carton inserts, displays, transit trays and many industrial components. Focal Plastics offers a complete 'End to End' in-house service for our customers, from project conception to delivery. At Focal Plastics we will work with you to develop your new product, taking a project brief we will produce an initial 3D CAD design giving a complete virtual representation. The design can be amended to suit until approved, we then manufacture the resin sample tool to make the first off prototype vacuum forming for final approval, before we manufacture the production tooling. We also have CNC machines and can work up to 3M x 2M in size giving our customers the benefit of keeping the forming and assembly under one roof, with Focal delivering a finished, quality checked product packed and ready to ship without any further work required. Furthermore we have the facility to glue or bond and assemble multiple formings, to then re-machine on one of our 5 Axis CNC machines. The product can go through many processes before completion, including printing onto the formings. The business occupies a purpose built 35,000 sq/ft factory at South Woodham Ferrers, Essex, with the Tool Shop & Technical Support Centre based in Bridgwater, Somerset. Focal Plastics are a responsible manufacturer. For over 25 years the company has been recycling all the plastic material waste from the site. Different materials are segregated for recycling and in production using recycled/post consumer waste, RPET (recycled APET) where possible. Established in 1980 with ISO 9001:2015 certification
