Focus Brasil Foundation

Focus Brasil is movement in honor of the culture and positive image of Brazil and Brazilians worldwide! It is recognized as one of the most relevant cultural events in the USA and abroad, acclaimed by institutions such as: Itamaraty, Ministry of Education, BBG-Brazilian Business Group, CFBACC-Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce, Centro Cultural Brasil-EUA, AOTP - American Organization of Teachers of Portuguese, ABI-Brazilian Asso¬ciation of International Press, Great Fort Lauderdale Alliance, among other Brazilian, American, and Hispanic entities. There are more than 4 million Brazilians currently living outside the country. The Focus Brasil largely reaches the Brazilian community in all regions where the events occur, as well as large number of cultural, institutional and lead¬ers, professionals, students, educators, and the media. Since 2016, in addition to in-person events, Focus Brasil has been investing in increasing its presence in the digital universe, through live streaming and social media, thus reaching 10 times more audience. Nowadays, Focus Brasil has a daily social media programming, with a great focus on journalism: programs and special Lives and entertain¬ment: cinema, music, talk shows, etc, always focusing on subjects of interest and relevance to the Brazilian community. History: Focus Brasil started in 1997, in Miami, Florida, as an award ceremony dedicated to highlighting the talents, achievements and positive ac¬tivities of Brazilians abroad. From 2005, the event unfolded on a platform of seminars, workshops and events of art, culture, Portuguese, business, and tourism. In 2011, Focus Brasil started to be held also in Japan and the United Kingdom, serving two large Brazilian communities abroad. The expansion within the United States occurred from 2016 (Orlando, FL), 2018 (Boston, MA) and 2019 (New York, NY and Phoenix, AZ). In 2018 it also debuted its events in Milan, Italy.
