FOD*BOSS®-AFI

The FOD*BOSS® is a patented airport sweeper designed specifically for collecting FOD at high speed and with incredible efficiency. It is towed by any vehicle at up to 50 km/h driven by a single operator. The FOD*BOSS® picks up any type of FOD, whether metallic or not, magnetic or not, on dry or wet pavement, enabling the Airport Operator to comply with the ICAO requirement as set forth in the Annex 14 to maintain clean the Movement Area, i.e. Runway, Taxiway and Apron. There is no motor, vacuum suction or moving parts which makes it very affordable and virtually maintenance free. In its Triplex configuration where three (3) sweepers are attached to a trailer, the FOD*BOSS® system sweeps a 3600 x 45m runway in 30 minutes, limiting the interference with operations.
