The Douglas Foundation's mission is to fund the development of the Douglas Mental Health University Institute: patient care and their environment, neuroscience and mental health research, education and training. The Foundation raises funds to: support families, prevent or treat mental illness and understand its causes, improve treatment and access to mental health services, educate the population and break the stigma around mental illness, share knowledge and best practices with other mental health workers and share this knowledge with future generations of professionals.
