FONDONORMA, is a civil association, nonprofit, legal personality and own patrimony, created in September 1973 to promote standardization and quality certification with the intention of stimulating the competitiveness of Venezuelan products.
It is standards body. In this paper develops technical documents with the participation of public and private sectors. The approval of these documents by the Supreme Council of the Association becomes FONDONORMA Standards, which are then presented to the Executive for consideration as national standards. So far FONDONORMA has won approval from more than 4,000 standards that guide the production, services and commerce in the country in response to national and international requirements.
