Fonshin School

Welcome to Fonshin, a vibrant and forward-thinking school which is dedicated to a culturally inclusive and well-rounded education environment. Founded as a bilingual school in 2004, Fonshin offers two distinct streams of learning; English section and French section. Our English section offers a myriad of engaging courses delivered through the International Baccalaureate (IB) program by native English teachers. Fonshin pupils are eligible to join from two years old and study full-time until they reach the age of six. In addition to our mainstream curriculum, we place great emphasis on mathematics, arts, music and sports, which form an integral part of our learning philosophy. Extracurricular activities are offered each day of the week during school hours and after-school, and include subjects such as: violin, baking, martial arts (kong fu), roller-skating, ballet and calligraphy. Our French section, Phoenix follows the French national education programme which is overseen by AEFE and Mission laïque française, delivered by qualified native French teaching staff. Our special teaching pedagogy ensures that every child is equipped with the conditions necessary for their personal development, which promotes independence, curiosity and creativity. ESL is furthermore offered from PS-GS grades as part of the curriculum. Extracurricular activities typically align with the school’s general program and in addition we offer: gastronomy classes, professional football and handicraft lessons.
