FoodShareJoy

Food is as timeless as it is universal. A good bite of food has the potential to brighten up a beat-down face, to cause a man to stand up a bit straighter, or to elicit emotions they haven't felt in decades. We create joy in the homeless community through this shared love of food. Our aim is to introduce foreign cuisines to the impoverished by partnering with restaurants and homeless shelters to distribute meals and other survival items to those in need. We talk with those we serve, and our goal, more important than anything, is to make them smile. FoodShareJoy is a network of student-leaders comprised of food lovers and sharers alike. Based in Westchester, NY, we partner with local and interstate homeless shelters and work towards our vision to empower communities with the shared love of good food.
