🌱 FOODTURE (Food for the future: Environmental quantification and impact reduction) drives green innovation in European food systems through enhanced life cycle assessment (LCA) methodologies and stakeholder engagement. The initiative focuses on precision agriculture and environmental stewardship to build resilient, circular food value chains. Our research delivers extensive results including whole-value chain Life Cycle Inventories, improved impact assessment methods, system-level impact quantifications, and practical tools for stakeholders. Through continuous collaboration with value chain actors, FOODTURE emphasizes zero pollution targets and regional environmental impacts, setting new standards for holistic food system management across Europe.
