Fook Lee & Company was established on 1st October, 1938 and of all local construction firms, it has one of the longest histories. The company was originally formed by a group of builders and ever since its establishment, its basic policy over these past 79 years has been one of honesty and responsibility, especially in regard to quality. Fook Lee constructed projects such as the Star Ferry complex, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, the Canton Road Government Offices and the Kwai Chung Incinerator. Investments in real estate include residential and commercial buildings, hotels, theatres and warehouses. The company's name denotes 'social welfare' in Chinese. For the past 79 years, the company has never departed from its social welfare obligations, and it intends to carry on its endeavours to contribute to the building of a better Hong Kong.
