An initiative aiming to reduce traffic accidents at the time of breaking fast during Ramadan (Iftar), since drivers tend to speed in order to reach home before prayer.
The idea is to create a little box containing snacks and some drinks with a little message telling them to slow down.
"Don’t Speed!
As important it is to break your fast with your family, it doesn’t compensate for endangering your own and others' lives and safety."
The event was conducted during the month of Ramadan in 2020 and 2021 at the Nissour Square, Baghdad, Iraq - distributing over 400 boxes over the course of the two years.
