Il regroupe des compétences dans les domaines du génie forestier, du génie industriel, du génie mécanique et des sciences de l'administration, soit les systèmes d'opération et de décisions, le management, etc. Les activités de FORAC se divisent en deux secteurs : la recherche et le transfert des connaissances.
