Reconciling a disconnect between the government, as a policy maker, and businesses, as catalysts for a country’s competitiveness, is the biggest challenge that Indonesia faces in transforming into a highly competitive country at the global level. Government policies are not always supportive to the business sector. To overcome such challenge, there is a need to bridge the government and business spheres for creating correct policies.

Forbil Institute, which was initiated by some academics from Universitas Gadjah Mada and then bolstered by various actors, aims to provide policy advocacy to create correct policies, as aforementioned.
