Forest AI was born from the question: What if the 175 terawatt hours consumed by Bitcoin mining were instead used to fuel AI innovation?
To promote continuous growth every epoch 1000 tokens are generated. These rewards are split up over protocols based on each protocol's share of customers they brought into the network. Within each protocol AI model providers compete for rewards based on accuracy and performance of their models.
AI model performance is determined by the average vote of decentralized validators who are constantly producing fresh test data and can get their stake slashed if they are found to be colluding.
By directly including customer fees from the beginning and linking each protocols share of token rewards to them, we ensure long term sustainability of the protocol and reward only those that are advancing AI tasks which the market cares about.
