form:form architects is a talented Shropshire based design studio established to provide inspirational architecture for commercial and private clients throughout the UK. The practice draws on the impressive portfolio experience of its owner and director who has held key positions in nationally and internationally respected practices prior to establishing form:form. With valuable experience in a variety of sectors from commercial developments, high quality residential, hotel, retail and leisure outlets, hospitals, education, restaurants/bars, the arts and community projects. The practice was formed in 2014 by Steven Hayward, a chartered architect with over 15 years’ experience of designing award winning buildings, a Civic Trust Awards Assessor, and a visiting Critic at the Birmingham School of Architecture. His work to date is evidence of his talents and proven skills in all aspects of the design process from initial sketch and concept through planning to design development and design detailing. He actively participates in every project, integrating a sustainable and environmentally sensitive approach into projects, initiating and developing concepts that push the boundaries of contemporary architectural design. The work of the practice is underpinned by a strong conviction in the creative design process, not by a desire to specialise in any single sector. Our strength lies in our ability to apply a systematic design process regardless of programme or location, applying an inclusive and collaborative approach fostering creative dialogue with clients, consultant teams, contractors and end users, as well as an active exchange between the disciplines of architecture, art, design, and urbanism. Central to our philosophy is that design is generated by the needs of people, regardless of size or scale of the design opportunity.
