๐จ๐ซ ๐๐๐ข๐๐ง๐๐ campaign is a nationwide fundraising initiative empowering participants to challenge themselves physically - whether through running, cycling, walking, rowing, or any form of movement - to raise funds for translational cancer research. The goal is to bridge the gap between groundbreaking lab discoveries and real-world clinical applications, accelerating the development of new treatments and saving lives.
Participants choose their distance (from 1 to 100 miles) and the activity they wish to complete. They pledge ยฃ50 to take part and log their progress through Strava or by email. The campaign emphasizes inclusivity, cross-training, and personal growth while raising awareness about the critical importance of funding translational science.
So far, 52 scientists across 11 institutes have joined the initiative by submitting short video testimonials, with backing from the Cancer Goals Programme and Research Infrastructure, Office for Life Sciences (DHSC/DSIT). This endorsement marks a significant milestone in highlighting the importance of translational research at the national level.
