FORSAID Project

FORSAID – Forest surveillance with artificial intelligence and digital technologies – is a Horizon Europe-funded project that was launched in September 2024. Its primary objective is the development of a comprehensive and far-reaching framework for the detection, monitoring and prevention of forest pests across the territory of the European Union. The employment of innovative digital technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning will be at the core of the endeavour to map the future of forest pest control in Europe. With these goals in mind, the project has brought together a consortium of 17 partner organisations from 10 countries, which will be working together for four years. FORSAID (Forest surveillance with artificial intelligence and digital technologies) receives funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Programme (ID No 101134200).
