Fortif Law Partners, LLC was created in 2017, when Bing Edwards walked away from a big law firm to do things in a different way.
The name "Fortif" says a lot. Fortif is purpose-driven, with the mission to fortify its clients – to make them stronger. The firm is not named after the people in it, in some self-congratulatory way.
The team at Fortif makes its communities better places to live and work.
By focusing on clients, Fortif has grown from one to twelve lawyers and strategic advisors. The firm is big enough to provide a full range of legal and consulting services, but small enough to know the most efficient way to serve clients.
Fortif’s clients range from some of the largest businesses in the southeastern US, to the newest startup companies. The firm also represents university research parks, large private foundations, utilities, and economic development organizations.
At Fortif, every lawyer is a partner – in a real sense. Each lawyer learns, from early in his or her career, the business of being a lawyer – not just the practice of law. In an age when so many things seem to be in flux, Fortif wants its lawyers to be fully prepared for their futures.
