Fortuna got its start on Lima's North Shore in 1982 when our founder Fernando Melgar started making better surfboard covers so his friends could keep their surfboards safe while traveling. From these humble beginnings, we expanded to solving other gear problems for surfing, biking, mountain biking, wind, kite, and travel.
To this day Fortuna Pro is a reliable, successful, and established outdoor gear company. Our reputation as an outdoor sporting goods brand is built on innovation through creating, designing, breaking, fixing, and testing again our own products.
Introduced to the Peruvian market in 1982 and released globally in 2000.
