The Forum for Sustainable Procurement was established as an initiative under the Ministry of the Environment in October 2010. We aim to promote environmentally conscious and responsible procurement of goods and services among professional procurers in both public and private organisations. We do this, among other things, by sharing and disseminating knowledge, create networks, develop tools to increase the competencies with procurers and suppliers.
Forum is a non-profit networking collaboration between organisations across industries and sectors, focusing on highlighting the benefits of sustainable procurement for society, businesses and organisations. Forum is open to anyone with an interest in sustainable procurement. Membership is free, non-binding and personal.
Forum runs the portal http://www.ansvarligeindkob.dk/, which collects and disseminates knowledge and tools and best practice cases as well as continuously publishes news about sustainable procurement from home and abroad. In addition, we run a number of theme groups. We work closely with the Partnership for Public Green Procurement, so that more people benefit from the Partnership's ambitious green procurement goals.
