Fossil Free Melbourne University

We are a group of students and alumni committed to seeing the University of Melbourne stop investing in the top 200 coal, oil and gas companies. These are the companies most responsible for blocking action on climate change. Until we can reduce the stranglehold they have over our political system, we will not see the change we need. Divestment aims to reduce the social license of the fossil fuels industry, loosening the grip it has over our political system and allowing for climate legislation that is in line with the science.
