Foundations Early Intervention Curriculum (hereafter referred to as Foundations EIC) is designed to provide teachers and therapists the tools necessary to help all children reach their full developmental potential. Foundations EIC is intended for children with special needs birth through 7 years old.
Foundations EIC is an evidence-based, developmentally appropriate, early intervention curriculum that addresses all ages and stages of learning birth through five years old. Foundations EIC places a significant amount of emphasis on early learning milestones birth through three-years-old, as these are foundational areas of learning in which higher level learning builds upon. While our curriculum is designed to meet all of a child’s learning needs, teachers will create environments where are students are learning through engaging and fun activities. Foundations EIC provides trainings, student assessments, lessons, and tools a teacher or therapist needs in order to support student learning across all learning domains.
The basic level of service Foundations EIC targets:
Stimulating and responsive environments,
Developmentally appropriate learning;
Strong empirical base which includes the integration of evidence-based practices and interventions from all areas of science (early education, language science, developmental science, behavioral science, and neuroscience) which support young children,
The tone, content, and quality of teacher-child interactions and interventions,
A unique sensitivity to young children’s conditions and challenges,
A range of play and learning materials,
Highly trained caregivers
Parent engagement, and
Attention to health and nutrition
Foundations EIC is intended to be used with students based off their actual developmental level not their chronological age.
