Foy Consulting & Engineering is a cutting edge company, uniquely suited to meet all of your steel connection detailing and engineering needs. Foy C&E has been providing steel detailing and delegated connection engineering services for over 17 years. Foy C&E’s staff consists of experienced steel detailers and licensed engineers capable of working on projects of all sizes and unlimited complexity. Steel Detailing Division Quality and efficiency are paramount at Foy C&E. The detailers and checkers at Foy implement and continually develop our in-house procedures to achieve the highest level of both. The Foy detailing division uses the steel detailing software SDS/2 for all detailing tasks; including primary structural steel, miscellaneous, stairs, and rails. The detailers (and engineers) are experts in SDS/2; performing both 3-D modeling and 2-D drafting. The steel detailers also perform services as qualified AISC checkers—each having over 20 years of experience in steel detailing and 10 years as a steel checker. Engineering Division The engineers at Foy C&E hold the highest degrees and licenses in their field and have taught at the university undergrad and grad level. With a combined experience of over 60 years, working in all structural market sectors, the engineering division at Foy is capable of providing advanced connection design services for the most complex projects. This includes: commercial, industrial, national defense and high-profile architectural structures as well as bridges. Foy C&E has acted as Engineer of Record on many projects across the United States (including western states requiring an S.E. license) and Canada. BIM Services The team members at Foy are experts in the use of REVIT and NAVISWORKS for BIM. Foy has highly-skilled project coordinators that are available to organize, lead, and/or attend BIM meetings as your project needs dictate.
