Located in the heart of the Pacific Northwest we have easy access to top-tier grade 1 Free of Heart Center (FOHC) Douglas Fir. Kiln-dried Douglas Fir is a premium in the timber frame world and is our standard material. We begin every product working with our clients to come up with a custom design to fit their product. Once we have the perfect design we order the timbers and send them off to a CNC to perform the initial cuts. Once it's off the CNC, it is brought to our shop in Estacada, Oregon where our skilled craftsman cut the rest of the frame and cleans up all of the details. Before leaving the shop, every frame is completely test fit to ensure there will be no problems on the job site. After being test fit, every piece is then wheel sanded to remove the soft, slivery surface and enhance the profile of the wood grain, creating a gorgeous look. Once it is wheel sanded, we apply two coats of Timber Pro UV Stain in a color of the client's choosing. This seals the wood and helps protect it from weather and sun damage. Finally, the structure is ready to be packed ad shipped to its final destination.
