The Fraunhofer CMI - Center for Manufacturing Innovation, located on the Boston University campus, conducts advanced research and development and engineers solutions for a broad range of industries including biotechnology, photonics, manufacturing and renewable energy. Part of Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, Europe’s largest R&D organization with 24,000 employees, CMI belongs to a strong international network of collaborative partners, including Boston University and the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology in Germany, facilitating technology transfer across the Atlantic.
