FRCSW is proud to be the top aerospace employer in San Diego and its employees work not only on aircraft but also ship engines to support the Marines and Navy at large. The command is known for its innovative spirit: from the utilization of work benches as aircraft repair stations to the invention of the Center Barrel Plus program and Super Hornet Splice. FRCSW has been at the forefront of innovation for more than 100 years. FRCSW encompasses sites at North Island (San Diego), Miramar, Pendleton, Lemoore, CA; Yuma, AZ; Canon AFB, NM; Kaneohe Bay, HI; Iwakuni, Okinawa, Japan; as well as detachments at Pt.
