A lot of companies try to make water something it's not. A fashion statement. A symbol of wealth. A rarity from an exotic source. Water is none of those things, but that doesn't mean it's nothing. Water is pretty much the most amazing substance on Earth. If you drink a lot of it, you feel great. And if you don't drink it, well, you die. We started Fred because we love water, and we want to make it cool and easy for people to drink more water and less of the other junk. We put Fred water in flask-shaped bottles so it can go wherever you go, not to simply freak people out (though we do admit the freaking-people-out thing can be fun). And we designed our bottles to be both refillable and recyclable so they stay in use, not in the ground. Founded in Brooklyn in 2007, Fred is a rapidly growing, privately held company on a mission to get people to drink more water and less sugar. Today, Fred water is sold through national distributors McLane Company, US Foods, Coremark and Shamrock Foods with availability in regional convenience store chains across the US. To consumers and independent retailers, cases of Fred water are available for next day delivery in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, LA, San Diego, Austin, Denver, Minneapolis, Chicago, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC and Miami.
