Established in the UK in 1963 Fred. Olsen Ltd’s business interests primarily focus on renewable energy. Forest management, Logistics and travel interests also feature in our portfolio. Based in the UK, but operating globally our brands aim is to build a reputation based on innovation, service and dependability. With origins traced back to 1848, three Norwegian brothers embarked on an international shipping business. Subsequent growth and diversification sees the organisation consisting of public companies, based in Norway, and Fred. Olsen Ltd. based here in the UK. Now in the 5th generation of family, Fred. Olsen related companies cover mostly energy related activities such as shipping, floating production, offshore drilling and renewable energy, but also cruise, media, real estate and venture capital. We have invested extensively in renewable energy organisations and technology in the last decade including leading renewable energy consultancy Natural Power and wind lidar device supplier ZX Lidars. Our interests also extend to Travel, where we provide traditional cruises to exciting worldwide destinations from UK ports with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines. Independent travel company, Fred. Olsen Travel are Worldwide Holiday Specialists and Cruise Experts. The portfolio of Fred. Olsen related companies also includes estate management, focussed through Forrest Estate, an 11,000 acre estate including commercial forestry, small hydro-electric generation as well as access and education in the world of Country Sports.
